American Idol 2006 contestant Princess P is becoming a mommy.

Paris Bennett is expecting a baby girl in October and will be 20 when mommyhood arrives.

“This makes five generations,” an overjoyed Jamecia Bennett, told me Thursday.

Jamecia, who like her daughter and mother is a singer, is absolutely over the moon about being a first-time grandmother.

“I’m proud of how she did it. I was 16 when I got pregnant,” said Jamecia.

When are some of these artists going to realize it’s nearly impossible to dance and sing at the same time.. and still sound good. I like Keyshia Cole, but she need to be still while she sing.

I confess, I fast fowarded through Ne-Yo’s performance.

Ashanti knew she couldn’t walk in those shoes before she even put them on.

SWV looking crusty but EnVogue came out and worked it. Time has done them well.

Apparently Amy Winehouse has been diagnosed with the lung disease emphysema. How sad for this 24 year old woman with such an incredible voice. It’s unfortunate that there are women in the music industry today who are getting all the recognition, but can’t sing and then there are women like Amy Winehouse who has been blessed with this great talent, and she throws it down the toilet. My music listening consists of mostly gospel music, but for the few times when I do listen to secular music, she was one that I really liked. Maybe this is the ‘wake up’ call she needs to get her life in order.
